This listing was supposed to be a game changer for me. An 11,500 sqft mansion for $3.5M sitting on the bluff of a nature preserve, overlooking a stunning lake— the largest lakefront estate in California. I was only 1.5 years into the business and it was my first real taste of the luxury market. I went all out on the marketing effort which produced good results, but I could never seem to please the seller. After 365 days of relentless and creative marketing efforts, I chose to eat humble pie and take the loss. I walked away from it. 4 years later and it’s still sitting on the market (at a higher price). I frequently think I want another shot at it.
